RFI's Legion series of combination antennas integrate high performance, toughness, and efficiency to ensure a superior connectivity experience.

Legion Series High Performance Combination Antennas

As routers and gateways increase in complexity, and the number of antennas required to run a single router continues to grow, the need to find elegant solutions to fit these antennas in the available space grows. Combination antennas solve this issue by combining a number of antennas into one small radome without significant compromises to performance.

RFI's Legion antenna series provides a variety of solutions allowing the flexibility to seamlessly accommodate a number of applications.

Legion Key Features

  • Multi-feed combination antennas with up to 9:1
  • 5G Ready
  • Designed for high performance
  • IP69 and UV stabilised
Legion Combination Antennas

Legion combination antennaS

RFI's Flagship Legion Combination Antenna integrates 4x4 LTE/5G, 4x4 Wi-Fi, and GPS for unparalleled performance.

With a tough and ruggedised design, the Legion is built for both transit and stationary installations where performance and durability are essential. The rectangular Radome shape and size have been optimised for high performance to ensure the best user experience even when on the move. Allowing for up to 4x4 MIMO for Cellular and 4x4 Wi-Fi feeds and GPS. Available in combinations: 9:1, 7:1, 6:1.

Legion Mini Combination Antennas

The Legion MINI provides an alternative when fewer feeds are required and space is at a premium.  A combination antenna specifically designed for transit applications with a narrow design allowing for the antenna to fit between the ridges on vehicle rooftops. Allowing for up to 2x2 Cellular and 2x2 Wi-Fi, and GPS. Available in combinations: 5:1, 3:1.

Legion Micro Combination AntennaS

The Legion MICRO is the smallest of the Legion range. With just three feeds it is designed for low-profile applications where size is a substantial constraint. Supporting only Cellular and GPS it is a convenient choice for when you do not require Wi-Fi or your Wi-Fi antennas will be located elsewhere. Available with 2x2 MIMO cellular and GPS. Available in 3:1.

FAQs

When installing and choosing combination antennas there can be a number of aspects to consider.

Do I need to use specific cellular feeds on specific ports of my router?

For the cellular connections, the Legion antennas have excellent full spectrum coverage and do not need to be installed to particular ports on the gateway. Gateway manufacture's guidelines should always still be followed when installing antennas for best performance.

Do I need to attach an antenna to all of my antenna ports on my modem

Routers will run at their optimal performance when it has been installed according to the manufacturers' and networks' advisement. Generally, manufacturers will advise that all connectors have an antenna terminated to the connector for the best use of their devices.

Do I need a 5G ready antenna?

For optimum performance, your antenna should cover the frequencies used by your device and your chosen carrier. Previously, most devices and networks did not utilise frequencies above 2100MHz, however, with the advent of 5G many services and devices are now operating above 2700MHz. Aside from getting better performance out of your devices many manufacturers and networks will not support setups that do not have antennas that cover the frequency of the device, therefore if your device is 5G, or you plan to migrate soon, choosing a 5G ready antenna can be a good choice.

I want an alternative cable or antenna configuration to that listed on the website

All of the Legion antennas can be customised for cable length and connectors. Contact our Customer Experience Team to receive custom configuration quotes including information on minimum order quantities, price and lead times.

What carriers will the Legion antennas work with?

The Legion antennas currently cover all frequencies in use by Australian Telcos and therefore can be used with confidence with any carrier. As a multiband antenna, it will also cover many frequencies used overseas as well. To check whether the Legion antennas will work for your network check the frequency range matches the available spectrum used by your provider.
