Being so highly dependent on the environment and water agriculture and agritech, the agriculture industry has grown and prospered due to monitoring solutions. As these solutions are often placed into remote parts of the property, or in the middle of fields, DC solar power presents a viable option for these applications.
As the nature of agritech applications can vary greatly, from environmental monitoring for crop health, telemetry solutions for weather monitoring, SCADA and automation solutions for irrigation solutions, cameras for surveillance and animal monitoring to running a dairy farm on an off-grid power solution, agriculture solutions will require a variety of customised power solutions to suit the specific application it is powering.
Monitoring agriculture will therefore often utilise all portions of a DC Power storage solution. The DC Power source could include both AC and DC sources, battery systems will vary from small AGM blocks to larger lithiums for off-grid storage, the load side will be similarly dependent on the specific application as it may include a mix of DC loads at different voltages or AC loads.
