Whether you're dealing with livestock, large-scale agriculture, or greenhouses, being able to monitor the environment is essential to maximising yields. With increasing digitisation, and sensors being increasingly added to farming processes, being able to access data remotely from a central point is crucial to the success of your agricultural monitoring system. Selecting a reliable modem and antenna is a large part of this. With RFI's range of industrial modems and antennas, you can be assured that you are installing high quality industrial devices that are made to last in the Australian environment.

There are multiple options for connections using ethernet, serial, and RFI's IO UniHub that can be used with a variety of different sensors. RFI understands that receiving reliable and accurate information consistently is essential in modern farming. Therefore, pairing your modem with one of our industry-leading antennas, such as the CSM700, will ensure you receive enhanced 4G coverage. Our flexible protocols for uploading data also mean you can interface with a variety of different platforms. Our high-speed connection capabilities also allow for continuous data collection, for a variety of applications, from soil monitoring to operating weather stations.
The real advantage of our industrial modems comes into play with our automation solutions. With its advanced digital IO, the UniHub can automatically turn on circuits based on sensor or data input. This means for applications such as pumping, a water depth sensor attached to the modem located at the dam can trigger the digital input, which can be used to send a message to a second modem, to turn on a trigger on the pump to refill the dam. In many of our modems including our UniHub and the Multimax, these triggers can also be used to send alarm messages. This ensures that issues can be attended to as soon as they arise, saving you time and money due to reduced site visits.

3G NETWORK SHUTDOWN
A key aspect to consider in your current installations is the impending 3G network shutdown. With less than two years until Telstra turns off their 3G network, it is critical that devices are replaced to ensure your operations can continue without being interrupted. It is important to consider not only your modem devices but any connected devices that are reliant on it. These devices may also need to be replaced.
For more information on the 3G network shutdown, please fill in the form and our Customer Experience Team will be in contact with you.
